About ISG

Innocent Spirit Gardens actually started as an inspiration from a colleague and friend who was studying in the United States. My friend from Japan pointed out the innocent spirits I appear to be speaking with while I cared for a community garden. Unlike the lore of fairies, innocent spirits according to the Japanese are the companions of plants and and other life that live in our gardens and forests.

This lead me to a search for understanding nature in such a way that gave Nature a voice to express what Nature believes is beautiful, what Nature experiences as healthy. My hope is to help people restore their communion with Nature, even within urbanized environments

About Jane

Jane McCluskey is certified by the Golden Gate School of Feng Shui and has a graduate degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She continues to expand her knowledge and skill in art therapy and brings this diversity to all her endeavors.

Jane follows a path of complementary philosophies, being raised a naturalist, finding affinity with nature-based spiritual traditions, and utilizes several modes of alternative health care. She shares her discipline with people who want to improve their lives as well as the lives of others, opening the doors to a new business in 2006 with a mission for authentic service. Prior to this, Jane was a family mediator and facilitator in Washington, D.C., and continues to offer these skills as a part of a growing organizational development aspect to her mission.

Meanwhile, her intuition in gardening encouraged her faith in the Earth’s natural propensity to heal itself and reveal true beauty. Jane’s current interests are continuing her education in the arts, as well as studies in taoism, sufism and Aikido. She is passionate about creating peace and beauty through methods of sustainable living, as well as empowering the public through good information and open-minded dialogue.

“The comment I hear most from my customers, ‘I love the way this store feels.’ To be honest, I was not a big believer in Feng Shui, but my experience now says otherwise. The store definitely turned out better than I thought it would, with results better than I had hoped for, so I pass the credit to you. Your sage advice gave me the courage to go with what I felt and not what some business marketing book told me was the ‘right way to do it’. So thank you for you, and what you do. Like I told you before, my success is all your fault!”

“I never gave feng shui much credit, partly because of the hype it has gotten in the past without much to show for it. But I went to visit M. I was amazed and asked M what she had done. She told me Jane gave her a feng shui consultation, and now I really believe: there is something there.”

“Jane is a brilliant creative professional.

Let’s build something together

Consultations begin with a phone call or emailed query. In a phone call, we get to know each other and define the process and determine if this is right for you. We then schedule a site visit, for which I prepare some preliminary charts, including your birth chart. On site, we take a tour and acquaint each other with the layout of current and future plans. The actual work can last 2-4 hours depending on the complexities involved. We finish with recommendations for you and your home or workspace.

Innocent Spirit Gardens & Interiors (ISGI) offers grounded consultation in natural wisdom practices. Disciplined in quakerism, feng shui, aikido, sufism, animism, and a lifetime of gardening, ISGI was created to practice the principles of serving Earth through our health and works of beauty. Help your home and garden work with you as you serve the world environment and rejoin your creative wisdom.
